- I just wonder how much of the problems in the UK market could be
- chalked up to start up problems. I mean it hasn't been a year since
- Escom bought the Amiga. These guys at AT arent super men! They have
- done a minor miracle just getting the Amiga back into production.
- The rumbelo' deal was an Escom deal seperate from the Amiga deal,
- it's quite possible there isn't the best communication between the
- AT and Escom opperation. That can be fixed. Why don't you gather some
- of your Amiga friends togeather, do a nice letter up offering to
- come to any Escom store and help familiarize the staff with the Amiga,
- and set up a display. Send the letter out to all the Escom stores and
- see what the responce is. Maybe it would be better not to expect to
- much from AT/Escom, but to go out and do something on your own initiative
- and let AT/Escom catch up to you. I'm going to do a little marketing of
- the Amiga on my own on this side of the pond. Some recent comments by
- Zipperware to our user group president, made me realize that a little
- personal marketing might not be all that expensive or dificult. A little
- information about the Amiga and where it can be bought might be quite
- helpful.
